About The Tour
12to20, one of the country’s top teen marketing agencies, creates and implements touring programs that have visit elementary, middle, and high schools around the country with assembly programs that spotlight both an educational presentation along with performances by some of today’s most exciting musical talent, from the Jonas Brothers to Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) to Ally & AJ to Avril Lavigne.
Over the past five years through our touring programs, we have created positive and exciting interactive discussions with young people about today’s issues facing them including the environment, drug abuse, drinking and driving, music education, and other important topics that concern both you and them. Our experience in visiting over 5000 schools has taught us that these programs are extremely well received by faculty, administrations, and students alike.
This exciting one-hour program at the school begins with an interactive forum, led by our own emcee, in which the students are provided environmental information from The Inconvenient Youth. Following that discussion, an exciting new band from Disney Records, KSM, perform for approximately 30 minutes, followed by 15 minutes of “meet and greets” with the students.
The Inconvenient Youth is the brainchild of Mary Doerr, a senior at Castilleja High School in Palo Alto, California who created a foundation that works as a network for students to learn about the issues surrounding the climate crisis.
The goal of The Inconvenient Youth is to inspire kids across America to become voices for change within their communities with regard to global warming -- to have a chance to get their voices heard on an issue that they care about, an issue that affects the outcome of their planet. You can find out more about the organization at www.inconvenientyouth.org.
In addition, we bring a full sound production into your school with a sensitivity to appropriate noise levels. At the end of these hour-long programs, we also give the students a chance to interact one on one with the musical artists – getting the chance to obtain autographs, CD’s and other giveaways.
There is absolutely no charge for this performance; we only ask that you insure that the assemblies or noontime lunch hours are filled to the brim with excited students. I am confident that you will join the ranks of other school administrators who have asked us back over and over again after our concert visits.
